This 2 hour Zoom workshop is about supporting artists and makers of all mediums to successfully structure their offerings, maintain professional boundaries, and navigate the difficult conversations that can arise in a public creative practice or small business. Through lecture, exercises, and conversation you will gain tangible tools to hold your boundaries in professional conversations and emails. I have experience as a maker in handmade production, working in direct-to-consumer online retail, confronting design theft, hiring assistants, wholesale, consignment, custom commissions, craft fairs, working under contract, publishing a craft book, and over the years I have drawn on those experiences to develop methods for protecting my professional boundaries. Students will receive a pdf with scripts and templates, as well as time to ask questions and get brief consultation for specific situations. 

 

After the 1 hour lecture, we will have a group discussion with Liz Migliorelli of Sister Spinster. Liz is an experienced herbalist, maker, and teacher with diverse public offerings and a lot of wisdom to share around holding boundaries. In the discussion, Liz will talk about plant allies to support your boundaries, as well as answer questions you may have on the topic.

The workshop, including an open Q & A. will last approximately 2 hours. You will leave with a pdf for further study.

1. Although classes are structured interactively, you don't have to have your camera on during class. 
   You can choose to interact or just observe. 

2. You will be sent the Zoom Link and any other necessary class details via email after purchase

3. There are no class refunds unless the class is cancelled due to unforeseen reasons, please familiarize with Zoom prior to the class because refunds are not given if you have technical difficulties.

4. Recordings of the class are available only to those who enroll at $45 or more. If you will not attend the live class and want a recording, please email info@lisesilva.com by no later than class day 10/5. Recordings will not be made available to those that request after the class day.
